Poppy season is here! With their delicate, tissue paper-like petals and wiry stems that just can't be tamed, poppies are so full of personality and easily one of our favourite flowers.

Our Mixed Poppies bunch features a random selection of poppies in a variety of colours. Please note that the size of the poppies and the length of their stems may vary, depending on market availability. They may be smaller or larger, shorter or longer than those pictured here. The unpredictability of poppies is all part of their charm!

The poppies will also arrive in bud. To speed up the blooming process, we recommend trimming your poppy stems by a few centimetres and dipping the ends in boiling water for several minutes, before transferring them to a vase of clean, cool water. Repeat this process every 2–3 days to prolong the life of your poppies.

You can also try gently peeling off the sepals (the green leaves covering the petals) from the base of the flower head to the top, but we do recommend leaving them to pop open naturally.
