Meet: The Rubber Plant (Ruby Ficus)

As the song goes, "Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby (ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah)".

Aaah, how we love a Ruby Ficus. The glossy, variegated leaves with hints of pink and red amongst the dark green are absolutely stunning.

These low-maintenance aroids make wonderful gifts for plant novices and experts alike. When you want your lucky recipient to be able to enjoy their gift for a long time to come, these beautiful rubber plants are the perfect choice.

What's in the box?

Includes a Ruby Ficus Rubber Plant and a decorative white ceramic pot. Pot will be secured within a travel bag for transportation.

Please note that each plant is unique and may therefore appear different to the one pictured here.

Plant is approximately 17cm wide at the pot and 50–60cm tall. Repot when plant has outgrown its current one.

Care tips

Ruby ficus plants need several hours of bright, indirect sunlight to produce their striking red hue. Direct sun should be avoided as this may scorch the leaves
As aroids, rubber plants enjoy humid conditions. Consider spritzing leaves with water, especially in the summer
Ruby ficuses need regular watering once the top few inches of soil feel dry. Take care not to overwater; soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings
Mildly toxic to cats, dogs and people — keep safely out of reach of children and pets.
